Since Chap’s start in the profession, he has advised hundreds of individuals with their individual needs, wants and wishes.  Showing clients the appropriate path to their goals while monitoring their path over time is a very rewarding process. Chap enjoys making a difference in his client’s situations.

Chap has been continuously engaged in the financial management/personal finance industry since 1983 when he began his career as a participant at one of CIGNA Corporation’s six fee-based “test markets” in Houston, Texas. In September 1985, he was nationally recognized as one of the top five financial counselors among his CIGNA peers.  More recently, Chap was invited to the 2015, 2016 and 2017 Barron's Top 500 Advisors Forum.  This is an invitation-only event from Barron's, where the nation's top independent financial advisors gather for an exclusive chance to share ideas, grow professionally, and network amongst their peers.

A Certified Financial Planner (CFP) since 1989, Chap was admitted to the Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners in 1988, before its transfer to the CFP Board of Standards on Dec. 31, 1994. From 1992 to 1994, he served two consecutive terms as President of the Indianapolis Chapter of the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP). (It is now called the Financial Planning Association - FPA.) During 1992-1994, he was also the IAFP Liaison to the Indianapolis Chapter of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICFP).

A previous author of periodic columns in the special financial planning section of the Indianapolis Business Journal, Chap also has acted as a resource of financial services industry information for the Indianapolis Star. He participated and served as a panel speaker at the J.P. Morgan 1st and 2nd Annual Wealth Symposiums at West Palm Beach, FL and at New York City respectively. From 2009 through 2016, Chap was named to the Indianapolis Monthly list of Five Star Wealth Managers.  Chap has served on the Board of Trustees of Indianapolis’ Orchard School, Jameson Camp, and the Culver Education Foundation. He is a Past-President of the Culver Summer School Alumni Association (CSSAA). In addition, he has also served on the Planned Giving Committees of the Indianapolis Children’s Museum, Park Tudor School and the IU Medical School Foundation.

Chap lives in Westfield with his wife, Sallie Jo. Together, Chap and Sallie Jo have three adult children: Karen, Katherine and Channing.

Randy is co-founder and a Managing Principal of the firm.  He is a knowledgeable financial advisor who has over 30 years of insight and experience successfully managing clients’ individual financial situations through constantly changing investment and tax law environments. He has built his practice around physicians and the unique challenges they face in today’s medical landscape.

Since 2009, Randy has been named to the Indianapolis Monthly’s list of Five Star Wealth Advisors. He has also been named by Medical Economics Magazine as one of the Top Financial Advisors in the country (2010 – 2013).  He has also been invited to the Barron’s Top 500 Advisors Forum since 2010.

A 1980 graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Finance, Randy completed his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) requirements in March 1986.  He was admitted to the Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners in 1988 before it was transferred to the CFP Board of Standards on December 31, 1994.

He is actively involved in his Church, Second Presbyterian, and has served on the Finance Committee for 10 years.  He then served 10 years on the Endowment Board, with the last two years as President.  He has also served two terms on the Center Point Counseling Board.

Randy is a fifth generation Hamilton County resident, where he is involved in a local rotary club.  He lives in Carmel with his wife and their two children.

Brian Shupe, CFA :

A cum laude graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in finance from Butler University, Brian has been instrumental in the ongoing development of The Windsor Group’s Investment Services Division and serves the firm as Managing Principal.

As division head, he is responsible for overseeing all investment research and serves on The Windsor Group’s Investment Selection Committee, in addition to supervising, tracking, and reporting of clients’ investments. He also serves as a liaison between The Windsor Group’s clients and professional money managers, Charles Schwab, Fidelity, and mutual fund institutions.

A Chartered Financial Analyst, Brian is a member of the CFA Institute, The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (ICFA), and the CFA Society of Indianapolis.  In 2000, Brian was one of nine investment advisors who served on the Client Council at Vanguard Funds.  The Council was a policy setting board that assisted Vanguard in determining products, policies and services it offered to investment advisors and their clients.

Robert S. Kaspar, CPA :

Bob is Managing Principal of The Windsor Group. Bob holds memberships in the Financial Planning Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society.  Bob also possesses several securities industry licenses.  He holds B.S. degrees in accounting and management from Ball State University, which he completed in 1981.

He began his professional career as an auditor and accountant with Ernst & Young in Indianapolis where he successfully completed the Certified Public Accountant examination in 1981.  Bob was appointed president and director of a regional investment company where he was responsible for strategic development, service quality and growth of trust services, personal financial counseling, and investment brokerage services.  Under Bob’s direction, client assets grew to over $1.3 billion.  Bob returned to Indianapolis in 1996 and served as president of a regional financial services firm where he was responsible for the strategic development and growth of the firm’s entry into the investment and wealth management business.  He was instrumental for growth from a start-up business to managing assets for over 170 families and institutions with assets totaling over $300 million in just two years.  He has advised Windsor clients since 2000.

Bob serves as non-executive chairman of the board of National Advisors Trust Company, an $8 billion independent trust company located in Overland Park, Kansas.  Bob is also a director of the Indianapolis Symphony  Orchestra Foundation, trustee of University High School of Indiana, trustee of The Lacy Foundation and member of the MusicCrossroads Steering Committee.   Bob is past chairman of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, where he oversaw a $28 million annual budget and $20 million in qualified plan assets.  Bob served as president of the United Methodist Foundation of Indiana, a $28 million faith-based foundation, and chair of the statewide Indiana Humanities Council and The Learning Collaborative.

Ball State University honored Bob with a 2010 Award of Achievement from the Miller College of Business. The Indianapolis Symphony awarded the 2010 Mallett Ambassador Award to Bob and his wife for their leadership and support of the ISO in the Indianapolis community. The Indiana CPA Society awarded Bob with the 2004 Outstanding Public Service Award.  The Lacy Leadership Association awarded the 2001 Edna B. Lacy Community Service Award to Bob for his community leadership in Indianapolis. The Indianapolis Business Journal named Bob to the “40 Under 40” listing in 1998. Ball State University honored Bob as one of its 75 Outstanding Young Alumnus award recipients in 1994. Bob and his wife of 30 years, Rhonda, live in Carmel, Indiana and have two children, Kylie and Kevin.

Frank’s investment experience began in 1992 working as a financial intern at Merrill Lynch while completing his Bachelor of Science in Economics & Philosophy from Marquette University in 1994.  Frank spent a decade of his career working with institutional investors at Goldman Sachs & Co. and Wells Fargo Asset Management.  In 2009, Frank began to apply institutional-level investment management and planning to the unique situation of individuals and non-profits.  After leading investment teams at both JP Morgan Private Bank and UBS Financial Services, Frank was convinced he could best serve clients as an independent registered investment advisor.  In 2015, Frank merged his practice with The Windsor Group Ltd. which provides clients a greater level of service and resources at a firm committed to independent, conflict-free advice for over 30 years.

As a Managing Principal at The Windsor Group, Frank serves as a senior member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee.  Frank earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 2001.  He is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of the CFA® society of Indianapolis.

Frank serves as a member of the Mission Advisory Board for The Sisters of Providence of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana and a Trustee for the Aquinas Institute of Theology, a graduate school based in St. Louis, Missouri.  In 2017, Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hoggsett appointed Frank to the EmployIndy Investment Board.  Additionally, Frank was a past board member for The Legacy Fund Community Foundation (affiliated with the Central Indiana Community Foundation; served as Vice Chair and Work Study Board Chair for Providence Cristo Rey High School). Previously, he has served as a board member for St. Vincent New Hope, Easter Seals Crossroads, and the Indiana Repertory Theater. The Indianapolis Business Journal named Frank to the “40 Under 40” class of 2012. In 2014, Marquette University honored Frank with the All-University Spirit of Marquette Award.

Frank and his wife Valerie met at Marquette University and were married in 1995.  They have five children who currently attend St. Luke Catholic School and Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School.

Sue E. Hardman, CFA :

Sue has been an investment professional for over 30 years. She has a diverse array of investment experience through many market cycles. Earlier in her career, she managed taxable, pension and 401(k) funds for large insurance companies. She later transitioned to Wealth Management for families, first at Charles Schwab Private Client and since 2005 at The Windsor Group. She particularly enjoys the aspect of understanding each client’s individual evolving sets of needs and matching their portfolios to those needs.

From 1979-1989, Sue managed funds for life, health, and property and casualty insurance companies headquartered in the Southeastern United States. She has been responsible for managing fixed income and equity portfolios and was Director of Investment Research. In 1989, she became Anthem, Inc.’s first Chief Investment Officer during a period of tremendous growth and change during its transition from an Indiana-based Blue Cross/Blue Shield company to one of the largest health insurance companies in the United States. At Anthem, she was responsible for the investment oversight of $3.0 billion in insurance company assets and $450 million of pension and 401(k) Plan assets.

Prior to focusing on investment management Sue was employed at Owens-Illinois, Inc., working in strategic planning and internal audit.

An Indiana native, Sue received a B.A. in Sociology from Drake University and an MBA in accounting from Indiana University.

Sue has served on the Board of Directors of Circentre, Inc. which was involved in the development of the Circle Centre Mall. Her other activities include serving on the Boards of Directors of the Kelley School of Business Alumni Association and the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis. She also was a member of the Life Officers’ Management Association (LOMA) Investment Advisory Board and was Chair of the Southeastern Life Insurance Securities Association. She is a member of the CFA Institute.

Since joining The Windsor Group in 1989, she has provided financial plan development assistance by interpreting and assembling client data for computer input and by participating in the design and preparation of Windsor’s financial plans.

Sandy, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), received her Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Counseling and Planning from Purdue University.She is a member of the Financial Planning Association.

Earlier, Sandy worked in plan development with a Chicago-based, independent financial planning firm. Her financial plan development experience is an essential asset to the quality of the planning that The Windsor Group provides for its clients.

Matthew B. Ulsas, CFP®

Matt, a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), graduated cum laude with honors in economics from Butler University and handles the initial stages of data collection and plan creation for The Windsor Group’s Financial Planning Department.

Jamie graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Counseling and Planning. Prior to joining Windsor, Jamie was employed with Charles Schwab as a Trade Support Specialist. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.

As Director of Wealth Management, Dean specializes in providing financial guidance and investment strategy to successful individuals and non-profit groups. He is also one of the lead relationship managers for retirement plans managed by The Windsor Group. He is a member of the Investment Policy Committee as well as the Security Selection Team at The Windsor Group.  Dean holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Dayton.  He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner.

Dean's industry experience began with an internship with A.G. Edwards in 2002. Shortly after graduating from the University of Dayton, Dean began his career with Fidelity Investments in Cincinnati.  He spent nearly five years at Fidelity in various roles in both Cincinnati and Indianapolis including client service, trading, and investments.  Dean then transitioned to Charles Schwab as Vice President-Financial Consultant.  During his tenure at Schwab, Dean served as lead relationship manager for a select client group providing financial planning, investment guidance, and client service.

Dean felt compelled to transition to an independent, fiduciary level registered investment advisor after nearly 10 years on the brokerage side.  He switched over to the independent side in 2012 and has been with the Windsor Group, Ltd. since 2014.

Dean continues the Windsor tradition of community leadership in his home town of Indianapolis.  Currently, he is on the Board of Directors for Easterseals Crossroads, the Riley Cheer Guild, and the Nora Alliance.  He is the Chair of the development committee for Easterseals and the current President of the Riley Cheer Guild.  He also serves as the Secretary and member of the Saint Luke Catholic Church Finance Council. Dean is the current Treasurer of the Nora Alliance.

The Indianapolis Business Journal named Dean as part of the 2017 "40 under 40" class.  He lives in Indianapolis with his wife Melissa and son Austin.
